Secretary Names New Legislative Director

MADISON, (Wis.) – Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) Secretary David Stella announced today the appointment of Matthew Stohr as the Department's Director of the Office of Legislation, Communications and Planning. He replaces Bob Conlin, whom Stella appointed Deputy Secretary last fall.

Stohr, of McFarland, will serve as the agency's liaison with the legislature, the Governor's office, and the media; oversee the Department's communications initiatives; and coordinate the agency's overall strategic planning activities.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Stohr previously was a legislative associate for the Wisconsin Counties Association, representing the interests of county government on legislative, administrative, and budget issues.
