Important Information for Retirees with VSP Benefits

If you are a retiree who is enrolled in the Vision Service Plan (VSP) benefits program, your premiums for January coverage may not have been deducted from your January 1, 2011 annuity payment. You do not have to re-enroll in the VSP plan each year to maintain coverage; however, you must opt out of the program to end coverage. If you did not opt out of coverage for 2011 and your January premium was not deducted from your January 1, 2011 annuity payment, the premiums for both January and February VSP coverage will be deducted from your February 1, 2011 payment. VSP will send a letter further explaining the error to individuals whose deduction was not taken from their January annuity payment.
