Department of Employee Trust Funds

High Service Demands
At this time of the year, the Department of Employee
Trust Funds (ETF) experiences high service demands. As a result,
wait times on the telephone or in our office will be longer than
usual. If your situation permits, it would be best to avoid contacting
ETF (via phone or by stopping in) during this busy time. Your time
is valuable, therefore, below are some things to consider and other
ways to help you get what you need from ETF during this extremely
busy time.
- If you walk in without an appointment, be prepared to wait two
hours or more. Click here for a complete
list of wait times.
- Visit our Video Library to learn
about our benefit programs. If you are considering retirement,
watch our Road
to Retirement video that covers all of the things you would
hear in a meeting with our staff.
- If you want to meet with staff to discuss your retirement, but
do not plan to retire before the end of 2010, consider making
an appointment for a retirement session in 2011. If you have questions
about retiring in 2010 or 2011, this document may help answer
your questions: When Should
I Retire?
- If you need a form or brochure, most of these are available
on our Internet site at http://etf.wi.gov. Another option for
ordering forms and brochures is to use our automated self-service
telephone system, which can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven
days a week by calling our main line at 608-266-3285 or toll-free
at 1-877-533-5020.
- If you are an annuitant and want to change your address or tax
withholding amount, you may also do so using our automated self-service
telephone system, 608-266-2323 or toll free at 1-877-383-1888.
- ETF has received some questions from state employees about the
Accumulated Sick Leave Conversion Credit program (ASLCC) and the
Supplemental Health Insurance Conversion Credit program (SHICC).
If you have similar questions, please review the information in
this summary before contacting ETF.
